It has been chosen as the winner in the Manufacturing category, sponsored by EEF South. The company invests in training their employees and has dramatically improved its quality standards over recent months. In 2007 the company achieved the TS16949 for Automotive and AS9100 for Aerospace quality standards.

Beardow Adams, based in Milton Keynes, is the UKs largest manufacturer of hot melt adhesives and the winner in the International Business category, sponsored by UK Trade & Investment. Beardow Adams produces a wide range of hot melt adhesives for many different industrial markets, including packaging, labelling, woodworking, bookbinding, converting and product assembly. The company is represented on five continents, with over 30 distributors giving global reach.

Solsis, based in Reading, provides businesses with technology solution packages and is the winner in the Business Growth category, sponsored by Business Link. Solsiss business model is based upon a unique consultative approach that strives to take IT to a strategic level within small and mid-sized organisations, working with customers to plan how technology will be able to improve the businesses operations typically up to three years in advance.

Sustainable Business - Workplace & Community
Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI), from Aylesford, is the winner in the Sustainable Business Workplace and Community category, sponsored by EDF Energy. RBLI design, manufacture and deliver wood pallets and packaging to Kent and the surrounding areas. The company provides employment, training and support for its employees who include those with disabilities and ex-Servicemen.
Anita Roddick Young Entrepreneur Award
Ticket to Ride, from Haslemere with offices in London, is a surfing Gap and Career break organisation and is the winner of the Anita Roddick Young Entrepreneur Award. Ticket to Ride offers five separate packages across South Africa, Mozambique and Portugal. Participants become fully qualified surfing instructors and work on projects in the local communities.

Sustainable Business Environment
Vitacress Salads, a leading producer of organic and conventional fresh, prepared, watercress and baby leaf salads based near Andover, is the winner of the Sustainable Business - Environment category sponsored by the Environment Agency. Vitacress operates a follow the sun philosophy, growing crops outdoors in ideal conditions which require less pesticide and fertiliser input. The company is unique in washing its salads only in pure spring water, which is reused to grow watercress. Vitacress Salads focuses heavily on sustainable farming and biodiversity.

RF Engines, in Newport on the Isle of Wight, is an electronics design company that develops high performance, complex digital signal processing techniques for the latest semiconductor chips and is the winner in the Innovation & Creativity category, sponsored by QinetiQ & Shoosmiths. RF Engines operates internationally, serving primarily the defence, communications and government industries, using a business model that is a hybrid of licensing deals and outright sale.

Excellence in Skills & Development
Prime Care Community Services, a community social care provider in Seaford, has won the Excellence in Skills Award, sponsored by the Learning & Skills Council.
