The LSC South East Learning and Skills Awards 2007 The LSC South East celebrated achievement at The Copthorne Effingham Hotel and Resort, Gatwick, on Thursday 26th April 2007. The evening commenced with an introduction by Henry Ball, LSC Regional Director South East. The guest presenters for the event included former World, European and Commonwealth Athletics Champion Colin Jackson CBE and Meridian TV news presenter Mary Green. This year, the awards were expanded from the Apprenticeship Awards with the introduction of three new categories. These were Skills for Life Plus Award, the Offender's Learning and Achievement Award and the Train to Gain Learner Award. All South East finalists in the Apprenticeship categories have been entered for judging into the National Apprenticeship Awards that take place in June 2007 at the Hilton Park Lane, London.
